Our team are dedicated to providing the highest standards of care at all times.

Claire is the Director of The Willow Community and Registered Manager of Hythe View Nursing Home. The Willow Community is a collaborative partnership between Hythe View Nursing Home and Betsy Clara House, both specialising in complex and specialist nursing care.

Claire began her career in health and social care in 2009 and has built extensive experience across a range of senior leadership, operational and specialist roles. These include Registered Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, Area Manager for South Essex, Trusted Assessor and Discharge Lead, working across hospitals throughout Kent and Essex. This breadth of experience has given Claire a comprehensive understanding of service delivery, quality governance, financial sustainability and collaborative working across health and social care systems.

Since becoming a registered manager in 2017, Claire has successfully led services through CQC inspections, achieving, improving and sustaining regulatory compliance across all key areas. She is also trained as an Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Link Practitioner, supporting best practice in infection prevention, strengthening clinical oversight and ensuring alignment with national guidance to protect residents, staff and visiting professionals. Claire has also served as Co-Chair of the Skills for Care Registered Manager Network.

Committed to lifelong learning and professional development, Claire is currently undertaking a Master’s Degree in Strategic Management and Leadership in Healthcare, with plans to further her studies in Adult Social Care and Healthcare Leadership.

In 2026, Claire’s leadership was recognised nationally when she received a Silver Award in the Healthcare Leader of the Year category at the Healthcare Eagles Awards.

Above all, Claire is passionate about creating a culture of kindness, support and collaboration, ensuring teams feel valued, empowered and equipped to deliver safe, compassionate and high-quality care to every resident and family they support.

Karen began her career in 2003 as a Community Care Worker after caring for both of her grandmothers. She qualified as a nurse in 2010 and immediately joined community services, progressing to District Nurse Team Leader in 2013.

In 2015, Karen was promoted to Clinical Nurse Manager for Complex Care and End-of-Life Services, where she developed Continuing Healthcare (CHC) funded care models that enabled advanced care, including support for ventilated patients, to be delivered safely at home. During this time, she led the development of training programmes, clinical standard operating procedures and scalable care frameworks, while also supporting external providers in adopting these approaches.

In 2019, Karen joined a European research project focused on adapting the Buurtzorg model for the UK, promoting self-managing nursing teams and person-centred community care. Initially working as a Coach and later as Lead Coach, she oversaw the implementation of the model across Medway, helping to transform organisational practice and presenting findings at national conferences.

Karen joined Hythe View in 2023 and was subsequently promoted to Deputy Manager, where she leads the clinical team and oversees the Complex Behavioural Care Suite, ensuring residents receive the highest standards of specialist nursing care and support.

Dan is the Home Administrator at Hythe View and joined the team in April 2022 after spending more than a decade in the travel industry. His previous roles included cabin crew and Commercial Manager for a tour operator, giving him the opportunity to travel extensively before choosing a new career path closer to home.

Dan’s connection to care began at an early age, regularly visiting the care home where his grandmother worked. Later, he watched his mother train to become a nurse, further strengthening his appreciation for the profession. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dan worked as a carer and gained first-hand experience of both the challenges and rewards of supporting others.

Today, Dan plays a key role in the day-to-day running of Hythe View and is proud to be part of a team dedicated to delivering high-quality care and support. Away from work, he enjoys family life as a father to two boys and a much-loved dog.

Stacey is the Head of Housekeeping at Hythe View and has been part of the team for four years.

She is proud to lead a dedicated housekeeping team and takes great pride in creating a warm, welcoming and comfortable environment for residents. Stacey particularly enjoys spending time with residents and helping to ensure they feel happy, settled and truly at home.

Prior to joining Hythe View, Stacey spent 14 years working in sales, developing strong communication and people skills that she continues to use every day in her role.

Outside of work, Stacey is a busy mum to two boys and enjoys spending quality time with her family, creating special memories together.
